The history of our family-run hotel

Hospitality runs in the blood of the Pesendorfer family. Helmut Pesendorfer, the father of host Daniel, comes from a family, in which the love for their home country and showing its beauty to all visitors and guests, has a long tradition. Therefore, it was not a surprise that he purchased Hotel Sonnenspitze in the year 1989. He converted it into a holiday home for families, a place for emotions and relaxing moments. The original hotel with the name Sonnenspitze was situated on the other side of the street and was rebuilt, after a fire, in today’s location in the year 1919. That is why we have celebrated the 100^th anniversary of our house in 2019 and at the same time the 30^th anniversary of Hotel Sonnenspitze in the hands of the Pesendorfer family. The hotel is a place of traditions and down-to-earth spirit, but still the owners constantly try to develop the house further. The commitment to improve all amenities and services, to suit the needs of the guests, resulted in various rebuilding measures, like the new wellness and spa area and the modern rooms. But the heart piece of the house has always been the Pesendorfer family. Their warm and familiar hospitality, and their enthusiastic commitment to their work, lend the hotel its special charm and character.
