The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena provides sevenfold skiing fun, as there is not only one ski area but there are seven. Diverse pistes, guaranteed snow and best services offer perfect skiing conditions for old and young, for beginners and advanced skiers. The family-friendly, easy to overlook, slopes and the beginner’s lifts are wonderful for little beginners. Those longing for more thrill, get their money’s worth in the snowparks with fun park and halfpipes. Of course, you can also improve your skills in one of the region's ski schools. Suitable equipment can be found in one of the sports shops. Still not enough? Then purchase the Top Snow Card, for borderless skiing adventures.
Just a few steps from our Hotel Sonnenspitze, you can access the Ehrwald-Moosloipe, the perfect place for a little exercise before breakfast or an adventure in the afternoon. But the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena offers even more. More than 100 kilometres of trails, partly with artificial snow to ensure perfect conditions, offer round courses and enable you to choose your favourite routes – in classic or skating style. Against the backdrop of the impressive winter landscape you can enjoy your hobby. In Berwang you find the unique opportunity to try laser biathlon, under professional guidance. The cross-country ski equipment can also be rented and you can book an instruction lesson in one of the ski schools, if you want to improve your skills or are a beginner.
You do not want to carve down the slopes? That’s okay, as there are a lot more ways to explore the mountains and the valley in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. For some, this more tranquil side of winter, is the more beautiful one, anyway. Go on a personal exploration tour with snow-shoes, or without. Because as you wander through the peaceful, picturesque scenery, only accompanied by the crunching of the snow underfoot, you can free your mind and relax. Inhale the clear and cold winter air and feel free. Enjoy the moment – alone or with your loved ones.
Ready, set, go – take your sledge and have fun in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, as you will find manifold possibilities for tobogganing here. No matter if you prefer to reach your starting point by foot or with the lift, you will find your favourite downhill path. Some prefer a family tour in wonderful winter sunshine, while others head out for an adventurous night toboganning experience on one of the lit toboggan runs. Three kilometres are waiting in Ehrwald, and also in Lermoos, Biberwier, Berwang and Bichlbach you can mount your sledge. You did not take your own sledge with you on holiday? You can rent one at the sports shop and the numerous huts are waiting with invigorating drinks and traditional specialities.
Gliding on the slippery ice, dancing with your loved one or trying the traditional Alpine ice stock sport. The ice rink in Ehrwald invites you to have fun. Those, who have forgotten their ice skates and those, who want to give the sports a try, can rent the ice-skates. Another extraordinary highlight is waiting for horse power-junkies: They get into the co-pilot seat of a snowcat, 390 HP strong, and get an insight into the work of a snowcat driver. Some of you are satisfied with the power of less horses? Then it’s time for a romantic ride in a horse-drawn sleigh, admiring the magical winter wonderland.
You choose your favourite and the ski bus takes you there: Ehrwald, Lermoos, Biberwier, Berwang, Bichlbach, Heiterwang or Namlos.
Listen to the crunching of the snow, the beating of your heart, the rhythm of the poles – and nothing else.
If you want to explore the region together with others, you can take part in one of the guided snow-shoe hikes.
From one to three kilometres, by foot or lift, in sunshine or moonlight – tobogganing at the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.
Everything is possible in your holidays: from sleigh rides, to toboggan fun, from snowcat rides to icy pleasures.
